Before I start creating or redesigning a website for you or your business, having several things ready can make my life a whole lot easier, and save you money by making my job quicker. These things would help:

  • Site Layout
  • Coming up with the main layout of the site can take a while. If you have any ideas or suggestions as to the basic "look" or "feel" of your site or how your site should visually be layed out, please let me know. Don't ever think an idea is too hard to layout or is impossible.
  • Font & Color Scheme
  • You should also consider what font style and color scheme you would like for your site. A simple thing such as a font style can make all the difference in how a site looks, and may even dictate the "feel" of your site. Check out sites such as 1001FreeFonts.com for font ideas and VisiBone Webmaster's Color Lab for web-safe color scheme ideas.
  • Graphics
  • Having scanned or already-online graphics is a big plus. This saves me the time of searching for graphics or scanning and refining the graphics. Graphics I will need from you include logos, photos, press clippings, etc. If you know of any online articles about you, your band or your business, that will help too.
  • Content
  • I need plenty of information to make a good quality website. Some of the information that you should gather includes a biography/description of you or your business, contact information (including address, phone, email, etc.), important calendar dates, etc. The more information you can provide, the better.
  • Other Info
  • If you are a band or musician, you should definitely consider putting up audio clips (MP3) on your website for fans to download or stream. A song list (for cover bands) or lyrics (for original bands) are another item that fans love. One of the most important things to include is a place where fans can sign up for your email list.

NOTE: If you have an old web page already online, please do not delete it! I can use that as a source for graphics, clip-art, and old information to work from. The more information and feedback you can give me, the easier this will be for me and the happier you will be with the outcome.
